Why are flowers so expensive?
A question I was always curious about until I got into the business!!
1. Flowers are international! Flowers come from all around the world. That’s why florists are able to have such a good selection even though most flowers aren’t considered in season.
2. TIME. there is so much time a florist spends on your florals before they get to your hands. Floral processing is what is seen in this video. every rose comes with thorns and about 90% of the flowers we get comes with foliage. we groom and process all our flowers to make sure you get the most longevity or “vase life” out of them!
3. Floral arranging is an art that takes time to master. having the skill and experience is something that takes a lot of time and dedication. I look back on my work when I first started and can now truly see the difference between just arranging mindlessly and crafting artful pieces !
